After a day of meetings and preparation they will depart on a roadtrip scheduled plans to visit five areas- Parakou, in central Benin, Kandi & Kerou to the north returning south through Bante and Lalo and finally returning to Cotonou. With designated Peace Corps volunteers as point people in each region our visits are planned and will be organized. Many of the communities, schools and organizations are anticipating our arrival. One of our goals for Benin is to get acquainted and engaged in the communities with the expectation of maintaining on-going communication and building sustained programs and support over time. We will be establishing a replenishment program in Benin so balls can be replaced when damaged or worn and new programs can be supported.
